Viscosity

Dynamic viscosity to be specified for fluid flow computations.

Volumetric expansion coefficient

Expansion coefficient in the Boussinesq approximation. This value is not used for compressible flow computations.

Instead of it the thermal extension coefficient of an ideal gas is applied if the ideal gas option is selected.

Ideal gas

 

Default is no. If your material permits, you can change it to yes in the list box. This setting is typical by calculation of the gas flow in the gas filled furnace.

Molar weight

kg/mol

Mass divided by amount of substance.

Marangoni coefficient

N/(K·m)

Temperature dependence of surface tension, needed for the computation of surface-active flow.

The positive value means the force driving the fluid against the temperature gradient projected on the fluid surface, the fluid flows from hotter to colder location.

  1. Place the cursor in the phase column of the property that you want to change.

  2. Type respectively overwrite the value.

  3. Click on Apply or press the Enter key and continue with the next property.

    Click on OK to apply the changes and to close the dialog.

    The next computation will consider the changed properties.
