Field type

Here you can choose which kind of magnetic field you want, available are:

  • RMF: (Rotating Magnetic Field)

  • Stationary Magnetic Fields

The parameters for traveling magnetic fields are available in the Traveling Fieldstab.

RMF parameters

Rotating Magnetic Field parameters

  • Magnetic induction (T): Magnetic induction of the generated field in Tesla.

  • Sample radius (m): Radius of the sample.

  • Pole pairs: Number of pole pairs used for generating the RMF.

  • Rotating frequency (Hz): Rotating frequency of the external magnetic field in Hz.

  • Model: B0 is homogeneous in z-direction or inhomogeneous. In the latter case B0 is described using a Gauss-function.

  • Coord. of mag. center [m]: Position of the center of magnet in the CrysMAS coordinates (inhomogeneous model).

  • Half-wdth of mag. field [m]: Half-width of Gauss-function describing the magnetic field (inhomogeneous model).

Stationary Fields parameters

Stationary Magnetic Field parameters

  • Magnetic induction (T): Magnetic induction of the generated field in Tesla.

  • Sample radius (m): Radius of the sample (only for cusp configuration).

  • Model: Typer of Model that is used (MHD1 or MHD2).

  • Configuration: Axial or CUSP magnetic field.

  • Cusp origin: Offset of the CUSP origin from the CrysMAS coordinate system (only for cusp configuration).
